Experimenting with ASUS EeePC 900.

So my parents got this ASUS EeePC 900 back in around 2007, some time like that. The specs are as follows:

Intel Celeron M

1GB Memory

12GB SSD (I think, but it's a small SSD nonetheless.)

The SSD that boots anything boots Windows XP.

What I'm trying to do it install Snow Leopard on this netbook, because it was released around the same time that this netbook was. I'm sort of being held back due to Apple not using .iso files, so I have to find a .dmg to .iso converter. For the time being, I am trying to install Linux Mint on it (32bit MATE version), and whenever I try and boot to the removable drive, the netbook says it's not a proper boot device.

TLDR: Netbook is being bullshit, need help!

I'm one of those people who makes those bass music things.
