Power supply issues! Multiple computers ticking.

Splocker

Rescently I had an issue with my (now Previous) computer where the powersupply would tick when used for a while (several hours or more). Long story short I decided to build a new computer since I had been wanting one. Well I finished the final touches on the build this morning. However this after noon after running for 6-8 hours my new build started ticking. The ticking is quite noticible when it has been on for a while, in fact in comes through the speakers after long enough. If the computer is unpluged it will fade away. I have tried plugging it into different circuits in my home but it will just tick when I turn the power supply on. To be clear the computer must be powered on to start ticking, but the ticking will continue will fading away even when powered off.

Old build specs:

Operating System: Windows 8.1 64bit CPU: fx-4100 @ 4ghz CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO Mother Board: MSI 970a-g43 RAM: 12gb Kingston Hyperx 1333mhz.  GPU: XFX Radeon HD 7850 2gb Core @ 950mhz Memory @1326 Wifi Card: Either a Gigabyte GC-WB300D or a Gigabyte GC-BI50 HDD: Segate Baracude 500gb + Toshiba 500gb PSU: Xion 850watt 80+ Bronze

Thanks in advance,

Extra details I forgot to mention: Even when out of the case the Xion Powersupply still ticked (not connected except for the wall, same circuit within the house)

Noise through speakers is often an unshielded cable picking up interference. I have had it on a mouse cable before.

One would suggest you could also try it round a friends place to rule out the internal power delivery.

If that is suspect you may need to get a UPS

It is not just throught the speakers. I hear it from the PSU itself regardless of wether or not the speakers are pulgged in.

Well without trying it on another circuit preferably in another property to make sure it is not power issue other options could be.

PSU fan, but as you say it happened on two PSU that seems odd.

Something hitting the fan, again unlikely.

PSU components like relays do click but two PSU ina  row....
