Never mind, changing sata mode from IDE to ahci and she lives!

Last time that happened to me, it was the CPU. I Hope the motherboard works.

Success! Time for final assembly. Thinking about replacing the internal tim since my pc is already all taken apart, mainly because one of my cores runs about 10 degrees hotter than the rest...

3570k does that. My friend got one and I was baffled that one core was literally 5-15C hotter. It's not unusual for the 3570k to do that. If by internal TIM, then do you mean that you're going to delid the CPU? If so, be careful and good luck!

Well everything seems to be working but the pc bluescreens while booting into my main windows 7 ssd. I tried booting into windows 8 that I have on another drive and it works. Any guesses as to why it's blue screening? I've replaced a motherboard before when I accidentally bent the pins and didn't have to reinstall windows. I would really want to avoid reinstalling windows because there are so many things installed and it would take a long time before I got everything back to the way it was...
