Mac OS X Yosemite is sluggish with cursor etc

I'm running Yosemite in a Virtual Machine and it's sluggish. 

 

I've allocated 10GB of RAM to the Virtual Machine and I've checked Activity Monitor on the VM and Task Manager on Windows 8. I'm not sure what's the reason for it.

I've posted a gif which shows my issue.

I can't seem to get it to 1920x1080 but that's an entirely different issue.

I'm not sure it's allowed to talk about cracked/modded OS.

 

Anyway I got a similar problem with a Kubuntu VM with VirtualBox a couple of times.
