Windows 7 error when opening notepad. NEED HELP

Hi!

So yesterday Ive got an update via shutdown, it was 1/1 update type but this one was different, the circle stopped spinning at around 5 min into it and I waited about an hour to see if it does anything, then ive got fruserated and I hold down the shutdown button (Note: I did that I think 2-3 times before because of the same cause: stuck on the screen) but this time it booted me up into like disk checker (images below) so after some time it booted me up into my PC and everything is working normaly EXCEPT notepad, it has a broken picture and when I start it or start the file I saved eg. on my desktop it says:

"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher"

I posted every update on Twitter: https://twitter.com/iKiWYs/status/572834171619565568?lang=en

Here are the pictures of the notepad (Note: the text is written in Slovene and Beležnica means notepad):

You can take your system back in time with System restore.

Re-download the update and try again. It might got corrupted during download.

Did you clean the registry at some point in time, since you last installed Windows?

I also noticed that you are using Aero Basic. Is this correct?

Aero non-basic (just called Aero), makes your window border transparent. It uses the GPU to render the interface of Windows (this 'causes no impact in gaming, as the GPU only draws what you see on the screen. A built-in optimization system in the GPU.)

Aero Basic, uses XP engine, which uses the CPU to render windows interface (uses the GPU for shadow of windows and menu). CPU suck at drawing, hence why we buy graphics card. The reason why we initially used CPU (Windows 1 all the up to Windows XP, uses the CPU to render the interface), is because not only GPUs were not really powerful enough to draw without using a lot of power back then, but very costly.

(Already when Vista was released, it was a big problem for non-gamer, or even gamers with med range hardware. But today, it is the last of our concern, even Intel integrated graphics in an Atom chip can handle it without issue)

To go back in time:

-> Open the start menu

-> type in: Recovery

-> In the list of result that will appear, select "Recovery"

-> A panel will open. On that panel, you'll have a blue link that says: "Open System Restore". Click on it.

-> A wizard/panel will open, just follow the instructions.

-> The system will then restart and Windows will take the system back in time. The process will take several minutes. Once done it will start Windows as normal.

This error mostly arises while playing game but your issue sounds different..

Anyway, try this troubleshooting steps ;

Step 1: Put the computer in clean boot and then try to run the game

Follow Step 1 in the link below,

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Important: - Remember to put the computer back to normal startup follow step 7 in the link.

You may consider reinstallation the right version of the game program for your computer.

Make older programs run in this version of Windows

OK, so ive just got the notepad.exe from the Windows/System32 and Windows in Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and ive transfeared them to my PC and now it works :D

the only thing is that the icon in the toolbar and in the start menu is still the "corrupted file" icon, but i think that will fix itself after a restart.

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED
