Gaming PC Build. Suggestions?

DeadEyeKozi

Hey, So I have made about 5 Builds but I think they are a bit too expensive. I'm looking for a very high end gaming PC which will also be used for some video editing, lots of photoshop and daily use.

The maximum amount I am willing to spend is $3000.00 AUD

I have some requirements that I would like to be included in the $3000.00 AUD

(Also, I would like it to be an intel build.)

Must Have:

Optical Drive Pioneer BDR-209DBK Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer $79.00

Monitor LG 27EA63V-P 27.0" $379.00

Wireless Network Adapter Asus PCE-AC68 802.11a/b/g/n/ac PCI-Express x1 $107.00

Keyboard Corsair K70 RGB $209.00 Mouse Corsair M65 RGB Wired Laser $79.00

Headphones Logitech G230 $55.00

Video Card Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 4GB WINDFORCE $839.00

Note: If you know of a better optical drive or monitor feel free to change it.

Thanks so much.

Its not that easy with you being in australia and all, everything is shit expensive O.o

I honestly would drop the CD Drive and the Network Adapter.

Hey mate,

This is my build just modified for your needs. I know it's almost $400 AUD over your budget, but you can adjust it according to what you do and don't want. The ASUS motherboard in this build has built in 802.11 AC WiFi adapter so I didn't add that add-on WiFi card you were listing as a must have. I have, however, included almost everything else. I haven't included the Optical Drive because the case selected, the NZXT H440, doesn't support an optical drive. You can, however, purchase external ones for not too much at all.

Okay, well enough of my rambling, here's the build:

Why a 980? For the price, it's not worth it.

Things I changed from the "must have" list are the headphones, the monitor, the mouse and the graphics card. The headphones I changed to are the Kingston HyperX Cloud, which have rave reviews from everyone who has reviewed them. The monitor you chose was a 27'' 1080 display, which is too large for 1080 the pixel density is too low. Changed it to a 24'' one instead but the specs are the same. Changed the mouse to the Razer Deathadder 2013, reason being Optical mice are better because there are supposed to have no acceleration issues unlike laser mice. So I changed it to something ergonomic and dispite Razers tendency to overprice their own stuff, this was cheaper than a great many mice on pcpartpicker Aus. Also changed the GPU from the Gigabyte to the EVGA ACX 2.0, reason being it's cheaper.

Everything else is great. Well priced and well chosen if I do say so myself (and I do). The case and CPU cooler in particular are good because you can mount the radiator of the cooler in the right side of the case and use it as in intake. The 3 extra case fans I included can go in spare front intake and the other two can go in the roof as dual exhaust.
