Best Price:Quality 27" Monitor for 3xSurround/Eyefinity

Topic.

What are the current front runners for 27" Surround/Eyefinity monitors out there taking all factors (bezel, response time, input lag, screen quality, price) into account?

Ignoring price, the ROG Swift wins in all categories. Other than that, the PB278Q is your best bet.

Lol. I think that is his main focus. The thread topic does say best price although his post's main focus is quality.

I'm curious about how cheap one can build a decent surround environment. Anyone know which panels fit the bill he's asking for?

I'm a cheap bastard, I'm going to be getting this:

BenQ GW2760HM

Prad review: http://www.prad.de/new/monitore/test/2013/test-benq-gw2760hm-teil8.html#Fazit

Decent for what it costs, which is £150, going to wait until G-Sync monitors come down in price.

Which is why I also mentioned the PB278Q. It has a 1440p PLS panel with a 5ms response time all under the £400 mark. The only other contenders are the BenQ GW2765HT and the AOC Q2770PQU which I can't really recommend as they don't have any reviews here in the UK market as of this time.

I've only got a single GTX 980, so I don't think 7680x1440 is going to be drive-able.  Let's stick to 1080p panels.

Those bezels are pretty fat for surround.

It would have been helpful if you had mentioned that from that start. Usually, the 27"+ monitors are the 1440p and 4K territory. The best monitor size for 1080p is 24" and below as it provides the most optimal ppi. I'll look for one right now.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00IHTDCOM/ If you still wish for 27", this is probably the best one.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00D6L4Y9I/ For 24", this is what I'd choose.

I would say thats a bad suggestion, 4k\rog swift would be too expensive for eyeinfinity and would have too much requirements to run all 3.

The most popular choice for eyeinfinity monitor setup over the last two years is the Asus VG278HE 27". It's 144Hz and 3D. The bezels as standard are not too bad and there are tutorials on how to debezel it completely, it can also be fitted with gsync.

If you don't care about 3d or 144hz. Then the AOC i2757fh is for you. 1.1cm bezel, pretty much stunning.
