Dual monitor not working on GTX 770.

melias24

Hey guys, so i have a Dell E228WFP, and HP w1907. I have the Dell E228WFP as my main monitor. That is connected via HDMI from the card, then to the monitor via a HDMI to DVI, which the DVI is plugged into the monitor. I then got the dvi to VGA adapter (that come's with most GPU's) and plugged the DVI in, and then used a VGA to connect the HP. The HP then said 'monitor going to sleep', and i can't sort it out. Even when i go into the graphics setting's, and try to set it to dual screen, nothing happen's. I'm only going to be using the second monitor for browsing when gaming, so could i do the same with the HP monitor as i do with the Dell, with hdmi, then a hdmi to DVI adapter, but use the iGPU?

Anyone have a fix?

~Elias

The second monitor wasn't even detected.

does both monitors work when plugged in on their own. Check BIOS for duel Monitors etc. Is Windows detecting both monitors when both are connected? Tried a diffrent cable and where the cable is plugged into ?

Yes i have tried different cable's, and both work on their own, so is it BIOS?

Possible, check for duel monitor settins. I know in my BIOS i have to enable Duel Monitor/XFG or sum like it otherwise its weird using 2 monitors and sometimes doesnt display at all.

Go to the display setting in the control panel and click the detect button next to the monitor on your main screen.  That should make it pop up.
