Project Beauty and The Beast <<<<Upgrade>>>>

Toasted Waffles

Hello fellow LTT awesome members :D.

I'm working on an upgrade which I'll be posting pictures later today of the upgrade. I'm reusing as many peices as possible to keep the cost down :C

This upgrade was made possible by my awesome parents for my 18th birthday present, they helped with the motherboard and some of the cost of the ram.

Current Spec -

  • I7-2600K
  • ROG Maximus Formula V
  • 16gb DDR3 Corsair Vengeance
  • 2x GTX 680
  • 2x 1TB WD Black
  • 128 GB Samsung 840 Pro
  • Corsair AX 850 Watt
  • Corsair 900D

Upgrade -

  • I7-5930K
  • ROG Rampage Extreme
  • 16gb DDR4 2666 Corsair Dominator Platniums
  • 2x GTX 680
  • 2x 1TB WD Black
  • 128 GB Samsung 840 Pro
  • Corsair AX 850 Watt
  • Corsair 900D

I will be moving my old components over to my other machine which is finally custom painted, and it will become a home server for me.

Pictures coming later today as the upgrade starts today :D

I do a lot of video editing and streaming for CSGO, I can leverage any extra CPU I can get lol. I also wanted a CPU that will last me a long time without being phased out like next year. My poor 2600K is straining it self during after effects renders and long term gaming while streaming

You really don't need a 5830 but the GPUs could use the upgrade more

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

When I get my new GPU's it will be in a custom water loop, as of now I'm painting the ram heat sinks Red to match. But currently only my cpu is under water.

900D's are ugly and ineffective. Why in gods name would you want a system that weighs as much as you it's foolish!

Well if it was a gift I understand but if you sought it out on your own accord that is just silly

I hope you leverage all the space you have  in that case and do some case mods or else it is just an oversized (ugly) black box with bits of hardware lost inside.

I'll post pictures of it currently it falls right under that ^^^^ lol. The new board is larger so it should fill up more of the space. Once Water cooling is installed in the future it'll take up a lot more space. I love the case due to how many things I can put in it :D
