Asus GTX 970 will it fit in a corsair 250d?

the case will fit your gpu but your build is outdated. Why not a i5 4690k and a z97 instead?

No way in hell a 3570k is outdated. Performs neck and neck with a 4690k in most games. CPU haven't changed much since sandy bridge. Even a 2500k is legit.

Edit: If its a new build then yea

I guess the cpu is outdated.

BUT I STILL DEFEND MY LOYAL IVY!

both are around the price range, if a two things( one thing is newer while the other one is older) are around the same price range, which one would you choose?

I get what you are saying for new builds.

CPU is outdated in terms of motherboard availability/chipset features not performance.

I was defending people who already have ivy bridge running.

Its just an old CPU. It still runs great but is just old.

Intel updates their core series with more features usually once a year/two years.

So it makes more sense to go with an i5 4690k and a Z97 chipset board for the same price.

Also don't get a B/H/Q board of you plan on overclocking. Make sure you get a z97 board.

For people who are running ivy bridge then it's okay, it's still a good cpu to use right now.
