ipisb-vr rev.1.01 compatability issue with i5 3570k

I have a gateway desktop and I know the chipset is compatible but I cant manage to figure out why the bios wont support it. I have dled and installed the ivory bios update and installed it and the pc restarted like it should have but it still shows sandy bios and the i5 wont work. I currently have an i3 and the gateway website said the i5 3570k is compatible. dled the bios update from gateway website and still wont work. anyone know how I can successfully install this bios to support my i5?

Ultra at 1080p, that's all that matters.

probably because gateway doesnt support upgrades
