Is the GTX 760 just bad, or are CPU WUs easier?

Started folding on my downtime again, noticing that my overclocked GTX 760 spends 12-14 hours on some units, while my CPU brushes aside all oncomers in 40 minutes to an hour, sometimes more.

 

I'm no expert on folding, but I thought GPUs were supposed to be more useful for Folding?

The gpu gets easier wu, and gets less points, opposite of what the grahpivs card gets.

That's normal, my 780 takes 7 - 10 hours on Core 17's, about 160k ppd.

I did mean cpu, it's just my HTC one m8 auto corrects it for some reason.

CPU and GPU get different WUs. You will see that your 760 gives WAY more ppd than your cpu. the ppd kinda shows the compute power used for the WU (and the time that it took to finish)

Boinc gives a great example cause it tells you the gflops needed for the projects.

CPU projects with 18000 gflops takes around 6hours on my 8thread i7

GPU project with 5000000 gflops takes 4hours on my 780.

pretty much what FloRolf said, cpu's and gpu's get different wu's, wu's vary in size and difficulty, you can't measure how fast different hardware is depending on how fast you complete a single wu, not every wu is alike. As for gpu versus cpu, Gpu's arent straight up better, but they are very fast at doing big chunks of redundant calculations. 

 

you should be getting some decent work done with the 760, it's definitely not a bad card.

I seem to get a good amount of WUs done on my 760.  I think just some units are bigger than others and take longer. my i72600 and gtx760 can do about 50-60K a day.
