NZXT H440 and Hyper 212 EVO configuration

optoabhi

I have a H440 case and I'm really concerned with the restrictions in the air flow inside and outside the case. I can sense the stock fans kicking up when I start gaming (BF4). Please see the below figure and check of my CPU cooler and case fan configuration is Optimum.

Please also advise if the stock fans (rear) of the case is good or should be replaced with a better one.

Instead of the CPU cooler blowing North, I would turn it 90 degrees so it is blowing West.

The fans run at the same speed all the time, the are 3 pin not pwm.

Rotate your cooler so it blows to the back exhaust fan.

I would suggest getting SP120s over AF120s on the top if you haven't bought them already. You want static pressure optimized fans for this case.

What type of cpu cooler doesn't give you pwm fans, I have this cooler and can verify that the stock fan it comes with is pwm.

When he said stock fans I thought he meant the stock h440 fans.

Never use AF type of fans in NZXT H440. Except for the rear exhaust. Trust me. :)

Oh sorry, I still hate how manufacturers still include non-pwm fans on their cases tho...

too bad the h440 doesn't have any 5.25" bays :/

Built in. Like my phantom 410 (ickey case in red, don't get it in red)

Did you mean to rotate the 212 EVO this way so that it pushes the hot air to the rear fan?

Does it make any difference if I add another fan to configure it as push pull ?

Basically yep, that exhaust fan is meant to act in a slightly less-effective push-pull configuration.

Oh that's awesome, I couldn't find it on the website

Hi guys,

I am planning buy this h440 and hyper 212 aswell and searching some helpful tips about the configuration and lead me to this topic.

How about this config?

I am planning to use

 - 3 SP120 fans 120 at top. (because king_gamma said it is not good to put AF there)

 - 1 AF120 on the rear

 - 2 SP or AF 120 fans on the Hyper 212

 - retain 3 stocks fans on the front

Thanks

Can confirm that the airflow in the h440 is pretty dissatisfying without SP fans I modded mine to take one extra 140 in the front
