Need recommendations for new network

Hey guys, I'm planning on totally renewing our network at home, and I could use some advice. ;)

Currently we've got a crappy low-end Netgear-Router (which is the only WLAN source) in the basement, and the wired network is based on much too old Devolo 85Mb/s powerline adapters. And additionally, my mass storage are two Samsung HDDs (not RAID) in my rig, which are the most noisy parts in it, and therefore annoy the crap out of me. Data security not to mention...  :D

So, plenty of work to do. That I have to reposition my router is obvious. No problem. But which hardware do you think is the best... This is what I want to set up:

1) A new router: Wireless AC with a decent range
2) New powerline adapters: Min. 500Mb/s. and preferably some with a plug throughput. (Forget about the Devolo 500Mb/s, they seem to beep all the time in standby which is a no-go)
3) An affordable NAS with 2 HDD-Slots for RAID config. Don't need personal cloud stuff, but media-server.
4) Reliable HDDs for the NAS. Not sure about capacity yet... depends on price.

That's it. A general thing for all of this: I don't need pro grade stuff. I know I have to spend some money for reliability, but I'm more the plug and play guy with an average wallet, so keep it simple if possible. ;)

THX in advance!
