Titan Black overclocking

Oshino Shinobu

So, I recently got a Titan Black, and I finally got round to overclocking it and doing a few benchmarks. I plan on benching games as well, but for now I've just done 3DMark and Unigine Valley.

I'm by no means an experienced overclocker, so I'm not entirely sure if these are very good results or what, but I figured I'd share them anyway. Everything was done on a single 1080p monitor.

System Specs:

  • CPU - i7 3770K @ 4.5GHz
    Motherboard - Asus Sabertooth Z77
RAM - 4x4GB Corsair Dominator Platinum @1866 MHz
GPU -  EVGA GTX Titan Black
    Case - Corsair 750D
    Storage - 2x Sandisk 64GB SSD (RAID 0) + 2TB Seagate Barracuda
PSU - Corsair AX860 (w/ custom sleeved cables)
    Cooling - Corsair H100i (Push/pull)

First, the settings for my overclock. I found that the GPU wanted to run at 82C, regardless of the temperature or power target.

I'd like to see that. Also, I added some tests for Tomb Raider. Pretty big improvement in games.

Yeah looks good! I have Tomb Raider too, so I'll run all these once I get back home later.

please dont tell me you bought a titan for 1080p

Nope. I use 3 monitors normally, but I just did the benchmarks in 1080p so it's easier to compare. I'll probably do a few with three screens at some point

  • 9 months later...

I've got pretty much the same overclock on sli titan blacks, Except I'm sitting at 230 gpu clock and 250 memory. without touching the voltage they are extremely impressive cards. custom water loop and under full load sitting at 32c, Playing 4k with these baby's and getting 80fps in ultra settings is just unreal.
