  1. Keyboard is definitely my favourite!
  2. Just saw this today as well, I'm pretty sure this will be my next case when I drop down to mini ITX soon. It's between this or the FT-03mini or Sugo SG08 at the moment, this one just looks so nice now, and with the release of the mITX GTX 670, the GPU size restraints have been eliminated.
  3. The difference between the fastest speed and lowest latency RAM, and the slowest speed and highest latency RAM of the same DDR version, are absolutely not noticeable in anything other than synthetic benchmarks. Also, throwing the words EXTREME LEET GAMER SUPER MEMORY WORLD DESTROYER at the RAM doesn't make it any faster in games either. The only reason you'd want faster RAM is for overclocking headroom on your CPU, if you don't plan on pushing your CPU to the limits, just go with the cheaper lower speed RAM and just buy what you think looks pretty.
  4. Yeah, the HAF X. Unless the thing is like 60 dollars, I can't imagine wasting any money on it in 2013, with so many good alternatives to choose from.
  5. I have one. It's big, heavy, ugly, and the side panels rattle. The dust filters might as well not even be there, they're just flaps of paper that some child with a hole punch poked some holes in, they do nothing. It has good airflow though, and can fit anything in it. 2/10, would not bang. (although the side panels do enough of that on their own anyways)
  6. I preferred ATX up until the point where I moved, and realized I couldn't bring my computer with me on the plane, and had to go without it for so long. I'll be going mini ITX from now on, especially since I removed my soundcard for an external DAC/AMP, and AverMedia released the portable version of the Live Gamer HD. I have no need for more than one PCIe slot anymore.
  7. You wont find any case from a mass producing manufacturer that sells cases that size. The reason Alienware can get away with it is because they use PCIe extenders so the GPU doesn't actually need to be stuck directly into the motherboard, and can be laid flat beside it. I don't know of any independent people who sell just the cases, all the ones I've seen have been from people like Falcon Northwest that sell their own custom build computers. I don't think they'll sell you just the case and adapter alone though.
  8. If you want Sony at that price, pretty much the only option are the MDR-V6's. If you're gaming though, open headphones are best, but since you're on a laptop, you might be moving around a lot, and it can be annoying if you're in noisy environments, since you wont be able to hear the game anymore. If you are in quiet areas though, then you can look at things like Superlux HD-668 or 681, AKG K240 Studio, Sennheiser HD555 or 558 if they aren't ridiculously priced in your area, or one of the absolute best headphones for gaming, the Audio Technica ATH-AD700. The AD700s vary in price a lot though, so they might be like 3 times your budget randomly just because retailers have been raising the prices lately to profit on the demand.
  9. None of those, go look at something like the Schiit Magni and Modi combo. A USB DAC and amp that go for 99 dollars each. The Schiit stack also looks much better as well. http://musicalmusings.themindofgame.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Schiit-Stack-2.png
  10. How much do you actually care about the video mode? Do you plan on shooting a lot of video, and a wide variety of scenes? Or do you mainly want a picture taking camera that can take decent video if you ever decide you want to? If you just want a picture taking camera, go with the D7000. If you want a good video camera that can take good pictures when you aren't filming, throw both of those options away and look at getting an older Panasonic GH2, or a GH3 if you can stretch your budget. Though being in photography classes might limit your available choices to some school guidelines, in which case the Canon would be alright if you need a dSLR and mirrorless is out of the question.
