Stuff like this effects the consumer, I have no love for GPU wars, sorry if it seemed like I implied Nvidia were any better. Actually I don't know anybody period.

I don't know anyone who uses OpenCL and you can use TressFX on a Geforce card, It runs much better after Nvidia made drivers just one week after the game was released, CrystalDynamics deliberately held back giving Nvidia a proper build of the game, so they couldn't optimized their drivers, literally a few days after Tomb Raider was released AMD released a benchmark pitting their R7970 Vs a GTX 680 knowing that Nvidia didn't have the correct optimization, and everyone blames Nvidia for it, So I suppose it worked in their favor, as for Bitcoin mining, again, I don't know anyone who does that either. :/ Either way it seems if you want performance go for AMD, If you want quality go for Nvidia.

I've never understood why people bench something on liquid nitrogen/liquid hydrogen just to get high clocks, it's totally pointless. Personally I only care about what you can do in reality. :/
