I'm still a bit unsure of how it will work overall, and I guess it will improve with time, but i'm glad you're looking to cover your expenses given how YT is doing a bit flaky as of lately. If it means us users will eventually have to pay for content (not from you specifically, but other content creators), then I guess so be it. We should be glad we're getting it for free in the first place. That said, the giveaways absolutely blew my mind, I mean seriously? FOUR rigs? And on top of that you have so many extras, including a gtx 980? That's absolutely crazy. Wish you all the very best, i'll try to keep track of both YT and try Vessel as well.
  2. It's a tough one, the CPU cooler would be SOOO convenient for me, but at the same time, my case would not be enough for me to fit it, so it all leads to.....the case. With their price in my region, there's just no way i can afford one right now (a good full-tower, or even mid-tower case costs nearly as much as a GF970, due to weight and shipment costs), so yeah, the case would definitely be a huge improvement, that would allow for even more upgrades like the cooler. The headset, accent lights and coolers would be that cherry on the top thingy <3
  3. I am absolutely stunned when looking at the power draw for these beasts, the 700 series was already pretty damn good, omitting the 780Ti, but the 900 series is incredible, makes me look at my power-hungry 7970 in the eye (?), making a fuss even at load and ask it nicely: "why don't you do that?" Next time i'm going Nvidia, even if i have to spend a bit more.
  4. Hey guys, i've been wanting to replace my Mid-tower case (sentey ds1-4237) for one that supports water cooling (AIO, can't afford a custom loop) and hold enough room for about 4HDDS+1SSD. Here's the thing, budget is a killer here, not because of the product itself, but because of shipment price, as i will most likely have to import it in order to get it, so logically, the smaller and lighter, the better. I can't put a specific number because i can adjust it, but any number will be regarded and considered in comparison with others. The typical cases here in my country are either Thermaltake (specially the flashy models with protruding elements, things that remind me of a 7yr old's dream), or NogaNet (cheap but crappy generic case, with no room for cable management, and don't even think about water cooling support), from there you may see some pretty expensive stuff (Coolermaster Cosmos II, huge case but not worth the price IMO) and server grade cases. I'm in love with the Corsair Carbide Air 540 due to it being not so tall compared to other cases, but i've also seen some really nice m-ATX cases around (which prices are inversally proportional, mind you), you tend to see some NZXT cases, but they last a few days before i get to even make an offer, or i just don't have the money at hand to do the purchase. So yeah, i'm looking for something cheap that supports the components listed below, and allows for at least SOME upgradability, i'll keep looking for prices, weight of the cases and consider them all, as much as i'd like to go buy a Corsair H100i or something like that, i'd have to do some kind of black magic to pull it off in that case. The components are: Gigabyte G1.Sniper M3 i5 3570k, stock voltages ATM XFX Radeon 7970 Oc edition Kingston HyperX Blu 2x4GB 1600MHZ 2TB WD Caviar Green 1TB WD Caviar Green 120GB Kingston SSDNow Corsair AX760 Possible upgrades will probably have to be limited to case space, so i wouldn't mind having to keep on using m-ATX if need be. I've never tried sites like Amazon (and don't know how they do shipping), but i'm willing to try. That said, thanks a lot in advance.
  5. Well, i was kind of surprised to see you've reached the 1m subscriber mark tbh, i thought you had reached it a few months back. Oh well, i can only congratulate you guys for being one of the few hardware channels that really put their personality when making a video, and not a persona. You guys seriously have FUN doing this (watching an unboxing/quick view ensures a joke for example, or a play with words). I've been following you since NCIX, and after that it took me some time to find your new channel back, but once i did, i hit the subscribe button like an arcade machine. Don't stop having fun please, you guys manage to show that through the camera, which is not an easy feat at all. (and thanks for the opportunity, makes me kinda wish i was more active in the forums, but well....once a lurker, always a lurker).
  6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCWZ_kWTB9w&list=UU0vBXGSyV14uvJ4hECDOl0Q That one, and the one talking about Anti-Aliasing were the most significant ones, they remind me how irritated i can get whenever i hear someone say gibberish with regards to resolution and pixel density. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqi0114mwtY&list=UU0vBXGSyV14uvJ4hECDOl0Q As for Jayz, i found these ones (i didn't know him prior to this, so it took me some time to watch the videos) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXAFYNE7Cl0&list=UUkWQ0gDrqOCarmUKmppD7GQ And this one just cracked me up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZ28m3YeeCg&list=UUkWQ0gDrqOCarmUKmppD7GQ And yes Jay, sign the box please!! Thanks a lot guys.
  7. Logan, Austin, and you guys? That in it of itself is awesome. Other than that, I'd have to say the most appealing thing has got to be the combination of cpu plus gpu, and that lovely ips panel. Guaranteed performance for mid gaming, and great performance overall.
  8. I've read a lot about this one, and so far, i'm quite impressed by the battery life of the device, even for such a big screen it manages to hold its ground for a full day. AND THAT BEZEL, i thought the HTC One had nice bezels, but HOLY BALLS. Thanks a lot guys for the chance
  9. General rule of thumb: If the sound is strong enough to make me pay attention to it while using headphones at full volume, i need to do something about it.
  10. Crap, i still don't have my android phone, is there any way for me to secure the purchase before the offer runs out?
  11. Well, i'm guessing the only way you'd get hate is with the controversial and attention seeking title, but other than that, your points are quite eloquent, i'll try going through them one by one. *First, second and third points, you're right, there are thousands of channels that provide the same information as Linus, two things come to mind however: The rate at which computer technology is being released is not as often as we'd all like to, and in terms of income, it's not profitable for him to release one video for every computer hardware release, the video uploads per week would be much lower, there would be no sense of periodicallity (new word? whatevs), and the loss of subscribers would be even bigger i assume (otherwise i doubt Linus would keep releasing them). *Personally i don't watch WAN shows, as i find them to be rather fiddly, and that there is no sense of real discussion, i usually go to TekSyndicate for discussions about news, i feel i can actually agree with their points of view and could even chime in sometimes. *Yeah, PAX visits tend to be the same all over YT channels, it'd be nice if Linus could take a look at it, but in a different way, and not just plain coverage like the rest do (maybe a few observations, show a few particular sets of hardware that are interesting, but not a full coverage). *That IS something i'm quite curious about, i know there isn't too much new, but i'm pretty sure there is SOMETHING out there, and the fact that Linus is not covering it.....it's kinda weird. *And yes, not going to Computex was......sad, i was kinda expecting that coverage to be honest. Pretty sure he's reading this, so i hope he can do something about this feedback.
  12. My nokia 5800 is begging to be replaced, it's funny how so many hours of record braking and frustration from playing Solitaire with the "stylus" has scratched the screen up to a point where i can't see anything on the edges of it. That, and Symbian. That said, i never got the chance to try how durable a Gorilla Glass screen can be, the idea of a dual camera at the back is absolutely amazing for my extremely aficionado photography hobby (which funnily enough the camera is better in terms of functions compared to my Nikon L810), and the Qualcomm SnapDragon Quad Core is just begging me to do all kinds of crazy stuff with it, i'd feel like having a fully capable Raspberry Pi if you manage to fully utilize it), and finally, MICROSD SLOT; seeing all these Iphone models that charge just as much as a new phone for a 16gb upgrade makes me sick, so this is a huge plus. Thanks for the opportunity.
  13. Sweet god, WHY!? I mean i don't mind the team getting more money for a faster development, but if i'm reading this right, it's all aiming to be the Fahrenheit 451 scene, not to even mention the ENDLESS possibilities for money farming apps; add Whatsapp and you've gone full circle. THAT'S what really concerns me. I hope i'm wrong, but those previously mentioned points are something to be TOO careful about.
  14. Not american, so the whole culture behind dying "for your country" has never affected me (even though i've gone through war periods), but here's my take on the matter: I have yet to see how violence would solve anything, specially after so much shit that has happened throughout the years (WWI, WW2, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, the hunt for oil, ehem i mean Saddam Hussein, etc), aren't presidents smart enough to consider what will happen, and for what purpose, more specifically? And seriously, those who volunteer/get drafted, do you understand what you're fighting for? Don't bring me that "GLORY OF OUR COUNTRY HUR DUR", you'd be surprised how ignorant statements like that sound, specially now where "lack of information" is no longer an excuse. I was just reading a comment someone posted, saying something like "i'll fight the enemies of my state, any wrong-doers and whatnot". That's noble, good for you; now, what would happen if the "enemy" of your state is nothing but a creation, a cover, or simply a means to a greater end; what if the soldier on the other side knows just as much as you about the war, the sides, and the causes they're fighting for, with the only difference being "they're the bad guys, not us"? Wouldn't this put you both on the same spot? Two grunts killing each other for no reason other than "KILLING ENEMIES HURR DURR" (sorry, but i have yet to find/read/hear a proper explanation behind said decisions, so that quote will stand). Every second i try to make sense out of an armed conflict, i get more and more grossed out about how easily people can be brainwashed. I'm not saying don't do anything for your country (because you ARE indeed already doing it if you're working, mind you), just to make this clear.
