Laptop is burning while idle...

Hey!

 

For a few months now I'm trying everything and nothing seems to be working.

I have a Lenovo Flex 5. 

It has a very serious heating problem. While idle the core temp is 50c. A bit of load - 70-90.

It's about 18 months old, the specs are:

 

i7-7500U

NVIDIA Geforce 940MX

16 gigs of RAM

516GB SSD + 1TB hard drive

 

 

Now, I have opened it and made sure that there's no dust anywhere. 

The fan works well - it's always noisy I can clearly feel air coming out of the heat sink.

I removed the heatsink and reapplied thermal paste on the CPU and the graphics card.

I formatted it completely, deleted all my files and re-installed windows.

Its thin and the cooling solution might not be enough for the CPU and GPU combined. Check your power plan settings in windows.

your simply not used to laptops, that is normal

It's a thin and light with a weak cooling solution and a discrete GPU. You can repaste it or try setting a power-saving power plan.
