So, i have an Samsung Galaxy J3 2017 (SM-J330F/DS) and i want to ask some questions about a problem.

When i try to play any game on my phone, the phone just randomly restarts. This happen everytime.

That started to happen after last system update

my operating system is Android 8.0 (Oreo) (baseband version J330FXXU3BRI3)

I tried the next things. Factory reset, wipe cache from recovery

I want to try next. Factory reset without the sd card (maybe is a virus on it idk)

The Phone warm up a lil bit (and apps for temp says it's 60 C (celsius) when i play a game i can play aprox 10 min and then restart, the way it manifest tell me that is an system crash)

I have to mention that this problem occur only in games and in other apps even those that need plenty of resources that problem doesn t occur

The questions are:

Is a hardware problem, or an software problem?

What is the problem that cause this to occur?
What can i do to fix this?

Do i need to downgrade to android 7 to fix this problem? (using a custom rom and then wiping the system and writing the old android 7.0)

Please help me because this problem really bothers me

Has it had any water damage at all? My old Pixel XL had this exact same issue due to water damage from my job.

Hmm I would imagine the phone it's self is overheating to the point were it feels the need to shut down and restart to unload the system and give a tiny bit of time to cool down.

sometimes it reaches 70 degrees (celsius)

Have you removed the sim card to see if the LDI(liquid damage indicator) is any other color than white? Cause this kinda sounds like the exact same issues I was running into with my LG V10 and my Pixel XL

Look down into the sim slot there is a white sticker you should be able to see with probably some light, if its any color other than white(Red, pink or purple) it has liquid damage.

So zero water damage then. Those only thing I could assume is hardware failure starting.

what can it be the affected component?

Processor sometimes they use thermal pads or thermal paste to make sure the phone can transfer the heat through the body of it. But downgrading won't probably do much at all.

They wouldn't push it to the phone if it was to much for it to run.
