Which Ryzen model specifically?

Main PC:

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X • Noctua NH-D15 • MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk • 2x8GB G.skill Trident Z Neo 3600MHz CL16 • MSI VENTUS 3X GeForce RTX 3070 OC • Samsung 970 Evo 1TB • Samsung 860 Evo 1TB • Cosair iCUE 465X RGB • Corsair RMx 750W (White)

 

Peripherals/Other:

What is your use case (e.g. gaming, work laptop, school)?

What laptops are you looking at?

 

I am using a Lenovo T480 with a i5-8250U, and I have no complaints about it.

It's a work laptop with videos / web browsing / streaming, light gaming on the side.

Work tasks and in tiny bit of data crunching, e-mails, documents, a bit of remoting onto other computers, 1 or 2 VMs, presentations in meetings, etc.

Good battery life, light-weight...4-cores 8-threads is enough for those tasks.
