Hello there.

I made the mistake of buying just one stick of ram so I'm running single channel. and I was wondering if I have the buy the exact same brand and model of ram or if I could just go for one of the cheaper options with the same speed (2400mhz).

Also, does latency/timings matter for them to work as dual channel?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: I currently own an HyperX Fury Red 2400mhz

You can mix ram, with usual no problem, but the lowest ram speed and i think highest latency is what they'll be run at in a dual channel config.

:D no problem.

I may be wrong.
