So im thinking of getting this card but the red doesn't match my build. I want to paint it blue, woul that be okay? let me know what type of paint is ok to use

You want to paint which part of it? Just the heatsink?

yeah i think it will be fine right? i would be okay with even just painting that side that shows when the case is open

Yeah it should be fine if you paint the heatsink, although it will most likely reduce the cooling potential. You could also make a shroud to cover the red pcb.

how would i do that?

Lots of time, engineering ability, and craftsman skill. I would recommend aluminum.
