replacing/fixing case cables

due to a shitty mobo design, inserting a GPU damaged one of my audio cables for the front panel. its not the end of the world because I can use the mobo ports instead, but it would be nice if I was able to use the front panel mic port by repairing the cable. I have 2 spare cases I can take parts from if that will help me at all. if anyone has any idea how i should go about this id appreciate the help.
