Which GPU should I get

So I'm building my new pc and I was planning on putting a 1080ti in it how ever with the discontinuation of production I cant find a single one unless I want to buy from someone. So I was wondering a few things;

1. Does anyone think LinusMedia (or any similar tech reviewers) would be willing sell their old/extra 1080ti (as I'm sure they have probs about 100 at this point kind of thing).
2. Could I buy a 1080ti straight from a computer building company like Iron side or Origin pc (only buying the 1080ti)
3. If I cant do any of that is anyone here looking to sell one?
4. My last resort is upgrading and Ive seen some reviews on all the 2080 series and wasn't too happy with them, so I was wondering if someone could help explain how much better one is compared to the other and tell me if you think the price difference is worth it (I know everyone's opinion will be different on this)

1. No. We don't have that many, if you want a used one maybe look on eBay or get an old mining card

4. Just get the 2080 series.  If you have the money for a 1080Ti then just get a 2080.  The reason reviewers complained is that normally with a new generation you get more performance/dollar, whereas with RTX you just get more performance for more money.  If you already could afford a 1080Ti just get a RTX 2080.

3. - Once you reach, I believe 100 post count, you can post in the classifieds and put an ad to purchase one. 

Or you can go to websites like Ebay or try apps like Let Go and Offer Up

4. The 2080 and 1080ti are very similar, if you're uncomfortable with buying a secondhand than the 2080 is the next best thing considering the discontinued 10 series has skyrocketed. Black Friday deals are upon us so keep an eye out for 2080's and such.
