I've built my PC 9 months ago and it has worked perfectly without any issues. But 5 days ago it started crashing. It can crash during minimum load and at any time. I stresstested the CPU and GPU to see if it was the temps of those that crashes it, which it doesn't seem to be as it didn't crash during the stresstest, and the temps were reasonable.

If my mind isn't playing tricks on me, i do recall hearing a highpitched screech right before one of the crashes if that helps narrow down the issue.

Windows 10

CPU: i5-8400

GPU: MSI GAMING X GTX 1080 (not overclocked)

RAM: 16GB DDR4

PSU: 750W

Storage: 1TB 7200RPM HDD

Motherboard: ASUS Prime Z370-A

I don't know the BIOS version and have no idea how to find that out.

I really have no idea what it could be that's causing this.

Thanks for any help.
