HDD Stability Question.

So unfortunately I can only utilize 2x screw holes in the HDD trays that come with my Fractal Design Define R4 case. Not sure how big of a deal this is, should I be concerned about vibrations? Are there other trays I can buy to swap with these so I can fasten the HDD with 4x screws instead of 2 or it doesn't really matter?

Lol, my HDD hasn't been screwed into my case for the last two years and it's working just fine. Just try not to shake around your PC case too much.

HDDs really don't give a hoot how they're mounted as long as they don't move around a ton while in use, so you're fine.

Generally when I'm buying 10 TB HDDs at $400 a piece I kinda want them to last as long as they can, and sometimes I do bump the desk pretty hard with my legs. 7200 RPM's seem to vibrate a lot and with 4 HDDs in the case I don't wanna find out after a year or so that I shoulda just bought some better trays (if possible) to fasten them down better.

Even if you do bump into your case, nothing will really happen. And good 7200 RPM drives don't vibrate a lot, they're not like older HDDs.

Ok, well, for peace of mind, is it even possible to buy new trays for this case?

Not that I know of. If it really bugs you, you could get some 3M double-sided foam tape which seems to be pretty good, generally speaking (I've got a switch mounted to the backside of my real wood™ dresser and the tape has been used 3 times now just fine).
