I am getting a Ryzen build soon and I need some cheap DDR4 RAM and saw this: GeIL EVO SPEAR AMD Edition

Is this RAM any good?

Also saw another series called potenza by the same company

Geil memory is usually ok, ive used a few sets in the past but never seen this particular one.

 

2400Mhz is a little slow for AMD Ryzen as the Ryzen chips rely on faster ram.

Nowadays there is very little difference between RAM..  (expect for speed)

3000Mhz id say is ideal or above in my opinion.

I don't really care about looks (This is going in a sleeper PC build) and I think I am going to either go with the Geil RAM or T-Force Vulcan

3000mhz or higher with the lowest timings you can find. Any brand is fine to be honest.
