I made a post on a 600$ pc without a graphics card the other day. and was wondering if i should use the money i have now to just upgrade my current pc. since i wont have that kind of money for a bit

My specs are

Amd fx 6300 4.0 oc with a dark rock pure slim

12gb of ram

r7 260x

128gb ssd

1tb ssd

power supply is  a kentek 680 watt power supply

I'd just save up until you can get a new computer at that rate.

They are usually fine under light load but not that great under heavy load.

A bad psu does not have to go boom but can also produce a lot of ripple wich is bad for your other components

I was gonna get a Rosewill CAPSTONE 550M 550W Modular Power Supply (80 PLUS GOLD Certified) and a PowerColor RED DRAGON Radeon RX 570
