(almost) Daily BSOD

Folks, I'm that close from buying a whole new machine here

 

My current computer is chaining BSODs under medium to heavy load and I'm running out of options

 

2014 build :

i7 4790k stock clocked

Corsair H110i

Asus ROG MAXIMUS RANGER VII

Kingston 16G DDR3 1866M Fury - added in 2016

Sapphire R9 390

Sapphire Radeon R9 390 NITRO Tri-X OC 8GB - added in 2016

Cooler Master G750M, 750W

 

I changed the thermal paste, am monitoring heat and haven't seen any temperature higher than 75°C, all drivers are up to date, case is dusted every other month, I plugged off and on every single thing in the case, from the GPU to the fans, and I have 5 fans total in push-pull as far as cooling goes. Really don't know what else to do.

 

I'm think the GPU might be at fault but don't have much proof

 

Ready to answer any questions, the reoccuring power outages have already killed an SSD of mine and I don't want the next one to follow

Tried clean install windows from windows site?

Make a bootable usb or disk

i suggest (as @robby999 said) do a fresh windows install, download windows media creation tool and windows 10 from the official site, and go through the process then wipe your drive and make sure you back up everything to a usb or take out the hdd until finished (if you use ssd for boot)

Exactly worked for me i built a new pc had bsods

Did the clean install 

No bsods now

btw I also swapped ram stick positions and switched them

Where did you get your windows from ?

Have you tried windows media creation tool?

Did you put dlls in c/windows ?

Sometimes it happens cause of dlls

Update chipset drivers to last ones. It will fix your issue.

Update bios too you have 2014 pc and never updated it 

Win 10 was released in 2015

I pulled it straight from the windows website using the media creation tool and used a bootable USB stick

I'm going to sound like a pleb but I can't seem to find anything else than Graphics Drivers for the chipset

Not graphic drivers, ACTUAL chipset for your motherboard. Don't download from the manufacturer unless you have no choice. I for instance, download my 2700X chipset drivers from AMD directly as it's the most recent one. Manufacturers like ASUS will not have the newest version for the motherboard they produce as they have tons of products and it's hard to keep up.

So, I've updated the Bios and experienced 3 crashes on light load (no blue screen, in a row), taking one ram stick out fixed it but I haven't been able to push my machine too much.

I could find chipset drivers for 2600 only ryzen master is available on amd site

Well fuck me guys, I'm starting to think it was the RAM all along, I tried heavy tasks with both sticks separately and got 0 crash.

 

Tried with different RAM sticks I had lying around and got crashes, until I went with a single stick.

 

End of the story is, I think my MB is fucked somehow, so on Black Friday I'm buying a new one.

Not really. Easy to overclock. Get a decent cooler. It likes to warm a bit hot on my H115i.
