Windows 10 breaks webcams

Some time ago there was an update of windows 10 that claim to have made millions of webcams crash around the world. Some time ago I noticed that mine is like this:

Sometimes it works for a few seconds, then the stripes begin to appear until the image turns permanently white.
I have read that an update has been released that fixed the webcam issues with windows 10, I have everything updated...
Does anyone know if this os broken to hardware level level or can it still be a problem with windows?
