Recording device problem

So I plug in my headset to the back of my pc (into my mobo)

But it's not recognized by windows, both of my Realtek "Microphone" and "Line in" properties show that they're assigned to the front panel jack in whilst my mic is plugged into the back

It's very annoying and I can't seem to find a fix, anyone able to help?

I have the correct drivers for both realtek and I checked for my recording device aswell

edit: the mic works in the front panel, i need to get a rear panel recording device on windows

edit2: I can't click the rear panel icon on realtek's program neither.

fixed it:

i set my realtek to 7.1 surround but it only works on stereo

I just did some research as im dont really know the headset, do you have the splitter cable. On pc you often cant connect in and out with one plug
