Old laptop refurb

Hello,

I have been cleaning out an old junk drawer in my garage and I have found a old Hitachi 250GB hard drive and 2 sticks of PC3 memory sticks along with the recovery disks for a Lenovo R500 and a Toshiba Satelitte C655; I also have the Lenovo power supply from the R500.

Would it be worth the time, cost, and effort to use these to build a laptop for my kids to use for high school?

@Fixinit1 LOL, would it be worth using any of this stuff or just junk it all, I would like to reuse it but don't have a huge budget to spend.

Nope not worth it IMO. A brand new sub-$200 netbook or Chromebook will blow those laptops out of the water in terms of performance, battery life, and portability.
