Desktop Hard disk

Hi all, I would like to ask 1 question. I have 1 laptop hard disk and I want to put it into desktop hard drive for using it. Are there any way I can convert that? Thanks you for your reply.

That will depend on type of laptop HDD you have. Just google it. You will need a SATA adapter

This one , is that what I need ?

Is the hard drive in the laptop connected via an IDE connector or is it sata connector to the laptop motherboard?

If it is sata probably be better just to remove the laptop hard drive and put in the other computer like a normal hard drive.

Yes, true. @kingknightrider I removed this laptop hard drive and I want to put it to desktop hard drive. So would I need, sata cable + power cable to do so? or other anyway bcoz I don't know much about technology!

just remove the adapter and you should see the sata and power cable which is needed to power and run the laprop hard drive on the desktop.

i've been running it that way for some time and i dont have any issues.
