Hi guys, im really stuck for choice. so its finally come for me to upgrade im hoping to go for a ryzen 5 CPU however, im not sure on what would be the better choice for the GPU, i know bottle necking wont be an issue but im not entirely sure what would be the best combination of cpu and gpu. apologies if i posted in the wrong thread

ryzen 5 2600+rx 580
ryzen 5 2600x+rx 580
ryzen 5 2600x+ rx 570

The 2600 non x is a great little chip, i reciently built a system for a friend replacing his 10 year old Athlon 6000+ and hes a very happy chappy.

2600x vs 2600 is just a few hundred megahertz difference, not really worth the extra money spent.

RX 570 performs in between a 1050Ti and 1060 6GB I believe, so it wouldn’t match a 1060

 

RX 580 8GB and GTX 1060 6GB perform almost exactly the same, so if you have a Freesync monitor go for the 580. If you have a Gsync monitor, go for the 1060. Or you could just get the cheaper ones
