I was wondering if I could use Monoprice DP 1.3 active cables with a GSync monitor , in particular the Alienware ones (34 and 25 inch).  Has anyone tested these cables and got GSync to work?  I asked Monoprice and they said only Freesync was supported.  If these cables cannot work can someone actually tell me why this is this case or refer me to some kind of source that can do the same? I understand why Monoprice gave me the standard "doesn't work and out of spec" response but I would much rather know why I can't do something rather than it can't be done.

Here is a link to the DP cables in question:

https://www.monoprice.com/product?c_id=102&cp_id=10246&cs_id=1024610&p_id=21804&seq=1&format=2

If the link fails then a Google search should get you there:

Monoprice SlimRun AV DisplayPort Cable, 32.4Gbps, 8K@30Hz, 5K@60Hz, 4K@120Hz, Fiber Optic, AOC, 30ft

Thanks and apologies if this is a repeat.
