Do i need more ram?

How do I tell if I need more ram I have 8gb of ram a gtx 1060 6 gb and a ryzen 5 1600 cpu.    Is there a way to see if im bottlenecking?

While gaming or whatever u do, monitor the usage.

I think 8gigs is enough most of the times.

Can you tell u what u use the pc for ?

I play mostly steam games like r6 etc and the occasional fortnite session which I notice studdering/hitching at times

8 gigs should be enough. Only games like forza horizon really want those 12gigs if not 16.

Also the gpu should be able to play any AAA game on 1080p.

You are fine, especially for those games, but games are very slowly requiring more ram, so in like a couple years you would want to upgrade
