motherboard, ram, gpu compatibility

hello. i am currently planning a build with a ryzen 7 2700x, msi rtx 2070 gaming z, gskill trident z 16gb 3200mhz cl16 (model F4-3200C16D-16GTZR) and msi x470 gaming pro carbon.

my question is whether or not this config will work because the motherboards vendor list  (https://msi.com/Motherboard/support/X470-GAMING-PRO-CARBON#support-mem-14) doesnt contain this ram model.

and the following list (https://msi.com/Motherboard/support/X470-GAMING-PRO-CARBON#support-vga) tells me that only the rtx 2080 ti and rtx 2080 are supported by the motherboard but not the rtx 2070. i thought everything would work but after i saw this i am not that sure anymore. do you think this config will work? and do i need to update the bios?

The part about the GPU makes no sense, as any display adapter with a PCIe slot should work just fine no matter what it is... As for the RAM, Ryzen+ compatibility is significantly better. I would say you’ll be just fine with everything you have there (it’s really hard to like every single piece of RAM ever made on a compatibility list, there’s so much)

Trident Z memory is like that catch all, it's so fancy that it would be a crying shame if it was incompatible with a motherboard.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.
