Microsoft IR Camera driver issues

Hello there!

My 1st gen Surface Laptop's IR camera has suddenly stopped working all of a sudden. I have had a Microsoft technician look at the device via the support app with no luck.

 

When I look under device manager it says:

"This device cannot start. (Code 10)

{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful."

 

Windows don't even think I have an IR Camera

When I try to update the device windows keeps saying that the optimal driver already is installed. I have also tried to download the Surface Laptop update from Microsoft directly. It didn't help at all.

Is there anyone out there that can help :)?
