Most likely dead or dying. Has it been making any abnormal noises recently?

What model drive is it? Is it still under warranty?

Try seeing if crystal disk info can detect the drive and if it reports and smart errors.

Try running chkdsk -f on the drive.

If you are able to access the drive at restarting or such, I'd recommend copying any important data off the drive and backing it up to a different drive.

Yep, it's dying/dead.

Time to replace it.
