I want to add that your mobo also does not have rgb header and/or support peripheral LEDs if they are not connected via an internal usb device or similar.

You can check this in the boards manual:

The cooler has a small remote to control rgb and no software support according to CM website:

So NO you will not be able to control the rgb leds via the mobo.

This entire sentence is wrong. There is no remote control, there's an included wired RGB controller you can plug the RGB header of the fans in to.

RGB is also controllable with ASUS Aura sync, MSI mystic lights, etc from the motherboard. It says so right on the top of the product page. Where were you reading?

OP, fans are controllable via software as listed in the product page, problem is your board doesn't seem to have an RGB header.

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 Ghz  | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 |  PaliT GTX 1050Ti  |  8gb Kingston HyperX Fury @ 2933 Mhz  |  Corsair CX550m  |  1 TB WD Blue HDD

Inside some old case I found lying around.

Yes, no problem.

Your motherboard has more than enough fan headers. Besides, I think the cooler comes with PWM fan splitter, but better ask the retailer about that as I'm not 100% sure.

It also comes with an RGB controller to which you can plug in the RGB headers from the fans which gets power from a molex from your PSU. You'll be limited when it comes to the effects and colors though.
