Laptop problem

My brothers laptop form hp is broken

it takes 10 minuits to load and then it wont boot windows. I baught a new windows 10 home and tried to install it but no drives show up

I believe his hard drive broke but if anyone knows better please help

maybe try another drive another drive with windows 

 

you could use a usb drive with over 8gb

press F2 at startup,it will take you to bios,There look for boot order and look whether you hardrive is showing up.

if you dont know,take a pic of that page and paste it here

i did that before no drives show up

then I'm afraid its a hard disk problem.You could try removing the Hard disk out of the laptop and check it on another pc to see if it is working or not.but mostly you might have to replace it.
