Remote desktop offline?

Hi LTT forum,

 

so I’m currently working on a job for a client and setting up a few systems that will be tucked away, i can only say so much NDAs and all that but, basically these systems cant use internet to connect out and then be managed but they need to be remotely managed becasue they will be tucked away in a secured room don’t need anything to advanced just basic control. The systems arent to me yet and i cant really test on them I don’t have enough systems to test so turning to the community for help. I had a couple of ideas (listed below) some feedback and/or suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks in adavance!

 

Maybe a network that isn’t connected to the internet itself so just a secured closed network to control the systems?

 

If that wont work Ethernet into a switch to create a lan network?

Oh also I of course I would like to be as cost effective as possible but money is not to much of an issue so if there is a far better option for an increased cost that is an option to consider. Thanks Again!

I would think cheapest would be wifi router for servers and laptop with wifi. run remote desktop listener on the servers and use a remote desktop app on pc/laptop/tablet/phone

So if I understand right this would work without actual service? This system has to be closed loop just confirming this would work so as long as my devices are on this network then it will work. Thanks!
