Hello, I upgraded from an AMD FX-6300 to an Intel i5-8400, and I was able to test it out for the first time today.

I started up Assetto Corsa as usual, with about 17 cars total (16 AI cars + my car).  Performance seemed great at first.  With the FX-6300, starting the race was awful, and resulted in heavy lagging.  With the i5, there was little to no lag.

However, after about a minute after starting, I noticed some freezing that would occur for about a second.  Would there be less freezing if I allowed the processor to run for 30 minutes to "warm up?"

Is this freezing related to a memory issue or is it the CPU?  I hoped for zero lag/freezing with the i5-8400.  I'll try to test it out later today again with more AI.

you should have task manager open to see what your resources are. Also, check individual core use instead of whole CPU by right clicking on the CPU graph and changing to "logical processors"

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B
