newer windows 10 versions performance difference

RETZ

okay. so I have I Ryzen 5 2600x and GTX 970, 8GB 3000MHZ teamgroup ram. Now, I have a quite older version of windows 10 in my HDD, it is very old indeed. I compare my Cinebench score in my old windows 10 and my recent windows 10. and it is pretty much different. in my old windows 10 I scored 1356, and in my new windows 10 is 1280ish. thats quite a performance drop. I really dont know what causes this problem. every new windows update there is, its like it drops performance.

First of all, make sure you have all your drivers, including chipset.

Also, keep in mind that they were CPU security issues discovered, and software level patches that the OS needs to do cost performance, also Windows Defender (now called Windows Security) has been updated over time with additional security features which you can find: Windows Security (or Windows Defender depending on the version)  > App & Browser control > Exploit Protection Settings
