This is during a furmark stress test on a GTX 1080 Strix. Why is it not going to my boost clock?

System Specs

GPU - Asus ROG Strix GTX 1080

CPU - Intel i5 8600k @ 4.8Ghz

Motherboard - Asus ROG Z370-F Gaming

Ram - G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16GB 3000Mhz

Cooler - NZXT Kraken x62

PSU - Corsair RM550x

Storage - Samsung 860 EVO 250GB / 1TB Barracuda

Case - NZXT H500

Max out your power limit and temp limit.

Looks like it is to me. Whats the temp? Have you used a real bench mark like unigine?

Not at all, temp has not passed 63 in my tests.

I'll look into that benchmark.

Thing is, I literally just fac reset my pc before this happened, I used stock voltage / auto aswell as fan speed and it hit 2ghz, im rlly not sure whats happening.

 

It's still on auto rn.

Well it shouldn’t effect the card but you could put the pc on high power of not already. Could fresh install an older driver or uninstall the msi software and see how it reads in the actual benchmarks.

Furmark hit 2025 for a bit, I assume its just not demanding enough of my GPU.

 I wouldn't know, I quit using the donut of death in 2012. But theres not reason it shouldn't be able to boost in every benchmark.
