How to replace chipset drivers?

Go to solution Solved by homeap5,

Just boot your Windows and install new drivers if required. No fresh install needed.

If you want to remove old, ghosted drivers (not used anymore), use Ghostbuster tool (link). But do it carefully - remove only ghosted drivers that you know they're old, not ghosted drivers related to any hardware (like USB devices that may be reconnect later).

I just finished swapping over my CPU, RAM and moba. I haven't changed anything on Windows yet. So is it okay to boot into Windows normally and then replace the chipset drivers?

I was hoping my to hold onto my Windows licence when I sign in on my new build via my Microsoft account.

Or do I need to boot a fresh Windows install?

I did this not too long ago and Windows detected everything, installed the new chipset drivers and removed the old stuff.
