Help with streaming?

MrXuha

Hey guys,
First time creating an account for a forum but I'm wanting to start a twitch stream and was wondering if I had the specs to run it and/or what I would need to upgrade/replace to run a Dota 2 stream at high settings (1080p) at 60fps?
-i3 8100
-EVGA GeForce GTX 980
-8GB ram

As far as I know, DotA is an easy game to run, so despite the fact that you only have a quad core, you should be able to get away with decent stream quality.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I personally don't think you could run in at 1080 on High with 60fps.

You could try medium settings, worst scenario would be low.

The 970 will probably be cranking along, and the minion ai is probably handled server side, so there's not much for the CPU to do

you would need a MUCH better CPU in order to encode and play at the same time.

im currently using a 2700x and have no problem to play and stream at the same time.
