First time building so will need tools. Anyone got a good kit or a list of what will be needed?

A good screwdriver kit should do it, get some different sizes of Phillips and Flathead, a pair of soft gloves for glass handling, antistatic helps, and rubbing alcohol, ideally 99% isopropyl to clean anything that needs cleaning. Also a drill for when your motherboard won't stay put, a welding torch, and a high power laser cutter to engrave your name on it.

Oh, and a parts tray to hold your screws

I use a Phillips head screw driver and zip ties for wire management possibly.

 

That's it.

 

But may get a high power laser cutter for my next build, I like that idea.

all you really need is some screw drivers but if you want a decent kit of tools to last your lifetime get a Ifixit pro tech tool kit, they are decent price if your in usa.
im in aus and it cost a bit to get but was so worth it.

oh also thermal paste and rubbing alcohol

Good call!  I always use the Stainless Steel zip ties, can never be too secure...

To put things in the perspective, those are nice but if you don't already have everything you need to build a PC in your house already... invest in a tool kit for all things.  I understand we're not the most handy of men (and women) but yeah.

 

iFixit is a premium almost silly type of thing if you're just building a PC.  A screwdriver is all you need and you better have a few all over the house.

Well yeah, all you ever need is one Phillips screwdriver & literally nothing else. But if you ever want it fix a laptop or anything, it's worth the $60. Or if you ever decide to fix a smartphone or need any type of pry tools. Like I said, this kid is everything for the rest of your life, and your kids.

A good #2 Phillips screwdriver. Magnetized head is a bonus.
