Hi,

I've added an RX 580 to my system recently and it's been causing a lot of issues in games such as artifacts, BSoDs, crashes or just black screens that don't go. I set the fan to 3500 RPM all the time to see if that'd solve the issue but it didn't. I've updated drivers, disabled the iGPU, re-enabled the iGPU, removed and re inserted the GPU several times and nothing worked. 3D Mark gave me this error after Timespy crashed: File: dx_command_queue.cpp Line: 27 Function: __cdecl eva::graphics::dx::dx_command_queue::dx_command_queue(const class eva::graphics::dx::dx_device &,enum eva::graphics::command_list_type,int,bool) Expression: device.native()->CreateCommandQueue( &m_desc, IID_PPV_ARGS(m_native.receive())): DirectX call failed [-2005270523]. :

Specs:

CPU: AMD R3 2200G

GPU: XFX RX580 8GB

Mobo: MSI A320M PRO-VH PLUS

PSU: RM850x

RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengence LPX DDR4 2400Mhz

Not sure if it makes a difference, but I'm using a DVI-D to VGA adaptor for my monitor, and thanks in advance

I tried that and unfortunately it didn't work

GPU might be toast. Try a different one.

The system works fine on my iGPU, but what am I supposed to do with my graphics card?

Also I got this when running the benchmark for Hitman: Absolution

Reinstall drivers.

If that doesn't do it, you might need a repad/repaste - 580s run hot and if the cooler isn't up to it bad things might happen.

assuming your gpu is new, rma it and save yourself some hassle.

Daily Driver: Redmi Book Pro 14 - Core Ultra 7 155H | 32GB/1TB

Primary Desktop: NCase M1 - Ryzen 7 7800X3D/RX 6950XT | 32GB/2TB

Travel PC: Fractal Terra - Ryzen 7 5800X/RTX 3060 Ti | 16GB/1TB

I have too many computers. List here.
